The main event Sunday was the morning worship service. Gilbert reviewed the
religious heritage of our family including the emigrations to America in the
1700's and 1800's, and the evolution of the church from Amish Mennonite to
Mennonite. We listened to a tape recording of a sermon grandpa Amos had preached
in 1962. Uncle Simon set the context by recalling how grandpa came to be a
minister, and by describing the social and political context at the time.

Cathi led us in a response to grandpa's sermon. |

We closed the service by singing "Blest be the Tie
that Binds"

After the service we met to discuss future plans.
We agreed to met again at
Crooked Creek on July 18-20, 2003.
Before lunch we went outside to
take the traditional family photograph.
