This was the first day of the reunion... People began gathering in the afternoon and by 6 p.m., dinner time, most of us had arrived. The after dinner program included a tape recording of grandpa Amos and grandma Nannie, memories of grandpa and grandma given by various members of the group, and a slide show contributed by Clayton, Lois and Jerry. A couple of the memories... Cousin Phil spending an overnight with grandpa and grandma, and using a "tinkle can" in the upstairs bedroom... Aunt Lois, bring taken to University Hospital by grandpa because she was so skinny... Cousin Ruth helping grandpa extract honey... Uncle Clayton being taught by grandpa and grandma how to fold his hands for prayer... Jerry trapping mice in grandpa'sbasement... Here are some photos of the fist day:
